So I know I promised to finish up A PHOTO A DAY. We owe you guys 6 more days. We will get those up as soon as Nikee gets back from her honeymoon. For now I thought I would post a few pictures of what we have been up to lately!!

First we had Nikee's Bridal Shower!!

Then we did a kind of joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party. The four of us camped together in Gunnison but during the days the boys went and did "boy" things and us girls went and did what we wanted to do. It was the perfect scenerio for the four of us! We had a blast!

Oh the things we will do for a good shot!!! Good thing it wasn't a busy road!

Hehehe! Her feet go up when she concentrates!! That's why I love her! She is so cute!

The boys' toys.Two of our favorite things... fishing and drinking!! But maybe not such a good idea at altitude in the blazing sun... we had fun!!

Then it was on to rehearsal! That is one happy Bride!

Marleigh Mae was their ring bear! She did GREAT!!

Oh God! Let's hope he doesn't do that during the ceremony!

And then the decorating! Lots o lanterns everywhere!! So pretty!

Beautiful Rings!

They were married in their own backyard!! It was SO beautiful!!! It did rain. We were able to do the ceremony outside but we had to move the reception inside. They put SO much work into their backyard and their dance floor that Andrew insisted that they have their first dance outside... they did... in the pouring rain!!!! It was SO romantic!!!! I love this couple more then they will ever know!! This was truly the most beautiful wedding I have ever been a part of!! Congrats Nikee and Andrew!!

I know we owe you all 6 more days of pictures to conclude A PHOTO A DAY. We really have no excuses except for maybe one of the most valid excuses ever... Nikee is getting married!! We have been so busy with planning for her wedding that is taking place in 10 short days right in her own back yard! We will both admit that our cameras are a little cold and maybe slightly dusty at the moment. :( We do have new pictures to add however. I promise we will get them up soon! Not only will we conclude A PHOTO A DAY but we will post additional pictures from the things we have been doing recently. Thanks so much for being patient with us! And wish Nikee Congrats!!!

Day 24!!

8 years ago today my grandfather passed away. Towards the end of his earthly life he suffered from extremely bad gout and stomach cancer. He use to sit in a recliner with his feet up on a pillow. I have his old recliner and I love it. It comforts me. The other item in this picture is a crocheting loom that my grandfather hand made me when I was about 5 years old. I enjoyed taking pictures of this today and remembering my grandpa! I will forever miss you Grandpa!! I can't wait to see you again someday!

So today I worked at one of my very favorite places... Mrs. B's Tea Parlor. My picture is from the tea parlor. Tonight for Nikee I am just posting a picture of her because she is having a rather rough night and I just want us all to be thinking about her. A Photo A Day

Nikee and I are going to start a new project called A Photo A Day. For 30 days straight we are going to each post one picture. We decided that this would boost our portfolios as well as allow people to really see what we can do in a moments notice. Nikee and I both still have pretty regular jobs. We are not full time photographers. We both have houses, I have a husband and she will have a husband in 9 weeks; so in the midst of our everyday lives we will attempt to capture an image that we deem "worth" everyone seeing. It should be interesting and we are very excited for it!! So keeping checking back for A Photo A Day to begin in the next day or two!!

If you know me you know how much I love, love! I'm obsessed with romantic stories, weddings, and anniversarys. So naturaly one of my favorite things to do is take pictures of "love birds". Here are some of my favorites!

Beauty in Still Life

Still life photography is one of my favorite fields of photography. It is fun because you can bring anything to life and make it look beautiful. The fact is, beauty can be any where in any thing. It can be bright things or dark things. It can be things that bring joy or even things that bring sadness. How about the things that bring back childhood memories... those too!

I think the key to still life photography is to not worry about looking like a dork. Go on! Move in close and take a picture of that thing that brings a smile to your face!

Our Pets

Long before WSFF started Nikee and I have been taking pictures of our pets. Pets always hold a special place in our hearts and we understand the importance of capturing a good picture of them every now and then. So this is not one of our pets but it is a prized picture of mine that I wanted to share with everyone. I took this special picture during a whale watch off the cost of Boston. What an amazing experience!

Well, I am proud to announce that I have started my own photography business! I haven't done it alone though... My best friend Nikee is my partner. We are so excited to have this opportunity to provide people with permanent memories of their most important moments. Hopefully I can keep up with this blog as I would really like to continuously share new pictures with all our followers and even visitors.
